About The Red Pill Manifesto

The title makes a metaphorical reference to The Matrix where the movie’s lead character (Neo) is asked to choose between a blue and a red pill. He chooses the latter, which causes him to awaken from his artificially induced slumber and face the painful reality of the world.

Although the above is pure fiction, the reality of today is that brands are still highly ignorant to the fact that the balance of influence has shifted from brand to consumer. This blog is an effort to highlight the largely ineffective attempts of brands at engaging modern-day consumers and to enlighten them on ways to use social media to build relationships. The Red Pill Manifesto serves as a wake-up call for brands that for years have been ignorant on evolving consumer behaviour by offering suggestions, strategies and best practices to effectively connect with their audience.
